Further shaping knowledge and talent
André Postema is looking forward to working at Zuyd and in Limburg again: 'Zuyd is a wonderful university of applied sciences with an important role as a developer of knowledge and talent in our region. I look forward to working with Zuyd colleagues, students and stakeholders to further shape this in the coming years.'
Confidence and valuable contribution
The Supervisory Board appointed André Postema on the unanimous recommendation of an appointment advisory committee that included representatives of staff and students from the Central Participation Council. The Central Participation Council has given a positive recommendation on the appointment. 'This marks the broad confidence in his person,' said prof. dr. Marja van Dieijen-Visser, chair of the Supervisory Board. 'André has a lot of experience with large complex knowledge organizations and has come to know Zuyd well. Moreover, he has been responsible, also in the education sector, for business operations portfolios – including finance and housing – for quite some time and has an extensive network in Limburg and the Meuse-Rhine Euregion. We are therefore convinced that André will make a valuable contribution to realizing Zuyd's ambitions.
André Postema was politically active in the Maastricht City Council (2002-2006), the Senate (2011-2019) and the Benelux Parliament (2011-2019). He lives with his partner in Maastricht and has two children.
